Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Rusk County Court Docket does not keep a local log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to the site may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the correspondence. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard technical details may be recorded automatically when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns and page performance. Analytics vendors may combine visit data into reports. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, although doing so may change how some functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Rusk County Court Docket neither hosts nor sells a database of dockets or personal case information. It publishes routing information for the Rusk County District Clerk, County Clerk, local courts, iDocket, and re:SearchTX. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report, and the site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply the search tools. Information submitted through one is governed by that provider's privacy terms rather than this policy. Review those terms first because the provider, not this site, controls retention and disclosure.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Texas courts, Rusk County clerks, legal-aid resources, public portals, or commercial providers. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Check it before providing personal information.
Advertising services may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select ads. Those systems are controlled by the advertising provider.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information within the site's control. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, so absolute protection cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Notice that a minor supplied such data will be reviewed so the information can be removed.
Your Data Rights
The Texas Public Information Act governs qualifying government information, while Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 addresses judicial records. Neither authority makes this private site a Rusk County records custodian. For personal data handled here, a user may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal duties change. A replacement becomes available here with an updated effective date.
